Exam Arrangements

Appropriate access arrangements need to be decided at the end of year 9 so that they can be made available throughout the GCSE course. This compensates for students' difficulties during class, internal tests, as well as during external examinations.

Parents
-
we can provide your child's school with all the information they need to make informed decisions regarding access arrangements for examinations

Schools
-
we can ensure your students have the correct access arrangements to compensate for their difficulties in examinations
-
an assessment of reading and writing can identify many who haven't yet reached their full potential
-
a reader or scribe can ensure students understand the question fully and can express themselves effectively

The following arrangements can be considered:
-
a reader if reading skills are below average
-
supervised rest breaks for those with fatigue or concentration difficulties
-
extra time if reading or writing speed is below average
-
a separate room for those who need to verbalise text to understand it
-
a prompter for those with concentration difficulties
-
transcription if a students writing is difficult to read
-
a scribe for those who struggle to express themselves in writing
-
word processing facilities should this be the students normal way of working

Your future is in good hands.
